i am particularly happy to spend my time in our new garden. inheriting plants that have been around for years feels like a great challenge, but one i am happy to take on. although i don't have a great knowledge of plants or gardening i get a genuine enjoyment learning about it all as i go.

today i decided i must deadhead the huge rose bush in our back garden and the tall roses that grow out front. after taking advice from gardener's world (don't let me down monty) i removed all the old buds and the fading flowers. it's a tough job when you are full of self doubt but the coming weeks will tell if it was just an unnecessary massacre or not.
