i spent a great day on thursday strolling around london and taking in a couple of galleries with my new friend paval. the first exhibition we came to was one that paval had seen a few weeks before, large scale oil paintings by a norwegian artist, lars elling. the photos of his work above can't really translate the incredible mood of the paintings, but you can get a small idea of how talented this guy is. he's been a great inspiration..though i am yet to pick up a paintbrush (the weekend has stolen my attention) i will endeavour to recreate his awesome style.. or perhaps i should say 'interpret'.
